Did you know that MotionWear is the official apparel supplier of the Boston Ballet School?
We have an ongoing affiliation with them and it’s a partnership that I’m really proud of. The elite ballet school runs programs for children aged 2 all the way up to adults and courses ranging from casual classes to full residential, intensive programs for aspiring professionals.
We provide them with apparel and in-kind support and in return, they provide us with product feedback and the promise to wear our leotards exclusively. To be associated with such a focused and well known school is truly an honor.
On a local note, we also proudly work with Butler Universities’ Jordan Academy of Dance. It’s a wonderful ballet school here in Indianapolis. They run programs for younger and pre-college students along with three Bachelor’s programs through the Jordan College of Fine Arts.
The university dance majors at Butler are typically part of the Butler Ballet and put on full-length classical ballets alongside original contemporary works and shorter pieces, both on campus and throughout the region. And yes, they still have to go to class too.
Dancers from the Butler University Ballet actually appeared in our most recent dancewear catalog. It was an incredible photo shoot… according to our photographers, those hardworking dancers turned out to be awesome at modeling and a pleasure to work with.
Building relationships in our community, both locally and within the national dance community is sincerely important to us. It keeps us connected to what dancers want, focused on trends and, most rewarding of all, it’s a chance for us to give back.
